Lockton has announced the appointment of Sarah Romine (pictured above) as US General Counsel. Mitchell succeeds Ann Abercrombie, who retired in May after 18 years at the company.
“Lockton has been fortunate to attract and retain some of the best in-house legal talent over the years, both in the U.S. and internationally,” said Trey Humphrey, Lockton’s group general counsel.
Romin joined AT&T, where he was vice president of legal affairs. Prior to that, he was a partner with the law firm Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal. Romen also clerked for federal judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
Romine is active on several Bar Association committees, including one focused on the advancement of women in the legal profession. She serves as a mentor for the Dallas Bar Association’s WE LEAD (Women Leading the Legal Profession) program and is a member of the Dallas Association of Women Lawyers. He is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the Sedona Conference.

Romain is Lacton’s latest work. Last month, the company was appointed Ben Ryan As a senior broker in its global reinsurance business, Lockton Re. In July, Lockden was appointed Matthew Gladwick as vice president and producer in its Cleveland office.
